I did abs and kenpo karate tonight and I feel pretty good now. I have been slacking the last couple of days and didn't do anything but I did do legs on Sunday. Well most of legs, I didn't make it through the last 15 minutes because I had to get ready for work but I figured most of a workout is better than no workout!
The way P90X works is that there are 3 phases each consisting of the same 7 workouts for 3 weeks and the 4th week is a 'rest' week with a little bit different mix up and then each new phase brings in new workouts. The 7 workouts of course go throughout the 7 day week....my question to myself is when should I move to phase 2? I'm not sure because I have done about 2 weeks worth of phase 1 but over the course of a few weeks or maybe a bit longer with sometimes 1-3 days between workouts depending. I don't know if I should stick to the 1st phase longer than normal or spend 2 more weeks in it. Any thoughts?
My weight has been fluctuating between losing 5-6 lbs to being only 3-4 but I think its because of different times of day weighing I should just pick 1 time...but I also think it has to be the added muscle which in the end will burn more fat so I need to be patient. I do know that my jeans fit looser and a couple people have said I'm looking better so I'll go off of that. :) All 3 sure would be nice though...:P
As far as nutrition, I have my good and bad days. Some days I have milk and juice and fruits and veggies and other days I eat chips and pop. haha. I know I shouldn't but its hard to go all out on it. I just need to make small improvements for now and maybe I will get there.
I like your remark that doing only partial part of the workout is better than doing nothing ;) I want to give you a couple of pointers. I think you should try to give up soda 100%. Try it.
ReplyDeleteNext- I have been thinking about what you should do (Phasewise) I think if you are missing workouts just workout each dvd in the sequence you are supposed to do it no matter what day you are on even if it takes you 120 days to finish the phase. Once you finish it first time through. Dedicate yourself harder then next round. You won't see amazing results if you don't give 105% ;) Don't focus on the scale, just on how you feel and how your clothes fit !
thanks :) oh man the soda thing will be hard but I can give it a shot. I'm not entirely sure what you mean, get through the phase like all 4 weeks even if it takes a long time? then move on? so ive done 2 of the weeks but not over 2 weeks so I should do the 2 more and move on?
